Moors invaded the Iberian peninsula, Spain and Portugal, but not Sicily or Italy.
Sicily was invaded by Arabs from Syria in 652 and Southern Italy sometime later.
Moors and Arabs are not the same thing, but both are Muslim.

I agree that Sicily was invaded by Arabs in the 7th Century and ruled by them till the coming of the Normans.
But note that Sicily had been settled from Phoenicia (in what is now Syria) and that the Carthaginians dominated during the Roman period up to the Punic wars. So, the language spoken by Sicilians was influenced by the Semitic language groups during two long periods of its history.

The italians would dispute this but yes portions of the moorish invasion did invade sicily. The reason this might be disputed is because sicilians are not considered Italian among themselves but sicilian just as scots and the welsh and the irish dont like to be considered british. Another reason is if you look at the appearance of the sicilians as opposed to the italians on the mainland they are distinct in their appearance, the reason being is because of all the sex that was happening at the time. Some consensual some not, and who in their right mind of europeon descent would want to admit that their ancestors has infidel blood in their line, thats what the moors called the europeons they conquered.
