Its called a Palindrome. The word "Rotor" is a palindrome. Haydn wrote a symphony in which the melody is a palindrome. The second half of the tune is the same as the first half but played backward.

One of the better Palindromes is attributed to Napoleon who is credited with saying "Able was I ere I saw Elba."
