If the question is "Who IS a better player?", I think we can only include active players who are currently playing at a high level. That means Zidane is out of the question as he is retired.
In my mind, judging on a best player is hard - offensive players often get more votes as they are more visible. Hardly would you say a defense or a keeper to be the best.
If, on current basis, right now, I would have to say Ronaldihno. He has won World Cup, Champions League, La Liga, and currently Barcelona is doing well in the league. 2nd is Henry with C. Ronaldo a close 3rd.
