I know that Pop Idol and American Idol is all about Simon Cowell after he owns the rights to both shows. In the UK the format has been changed by replacing two of the judges (because they hardly ever agree with him and go with their own opinions but thats my opinion). And I know that the show is all about Simon Cowell and his ego. I try to avoid watching Pop Idol at all costs mainly because I hate the show but mostly because I loathe Simon Cowell I just can't stand I think he is awfull and to be honest non of the people chosen on Pop Idol make it past the first year they are all one hit wonders and after 6 months maybe a year you never see them again. except for Will Young he made because he made sure he got away from the machine and made something of himself proved that he has talent he even proved Simon Cowell wrong that he has talent and he made something of himself in the pop industry. Good for you Will Young.

i would have to say that simon cowell is a very smart guy who knows how to work the system. he is doing what most people like music artists due is to capitalize on what everyone wants and that is to be entertained. as for what you wrote on producing 1 hit wonders i would have to disagree with you on that one. he has made a star of kelly clarkson and carrie underwood. there records have been selling really well according to music sales.

i like simon because he dont bite his tongue. i think that since he started being a butt-hole now that he's knee deep, everyone wouldn't be waiting in suspense on what might slip out of his mouth, which would make the judges boring. So i think since he started being blunt he has to continue, plus it helps ratings a tad bit. Yeah he could be a little more sensitive & tactful but he do be telling the truth most of the time. i like him. Randy is starting to be fake in my opinion, all the sudden he acts like everybody that hit the stage is pitchy. i think he is trying to get some recognition like simon. And they need paula for balance, because shes nice everytime.

Sure but atleast hes truthful. I h8 that paula and randy are super nice and kind too all those idiotic tone death rejects making fools of themselves. I mean why lead people on about having good voices its just gonna hurt them later.
