Industrial Revolution in England from late 18th Century through to the 20th Century.

Technological inventions, British trade expanding and bringing in raw materials to fuel the revolution, use of Britains waterways to make transport easier, use of water / dams to create power.

There was a great deal going on - but way too much to report here. Just look up Industrial Revolution or Britain 19th Century history. A wealth of information.

Effects of slave trade gave way for the Industrial Revolution (and advocacy for human rights).

Abolishing of slave trade begun and so did the beginning of colonization (Berlin Conference 1884). The colonists needed Palm oil (grown on African soil) to lubricate their machines.

This plunged Africa into the Capitalist world economy into the global periphery, supplying the global centers (America and Europe) primary/raw materials to produce manufactured goods.

The exchange for primary products and manufactured products between the Global Centers (Americas and Europe) and the Global periphery (eg. Africa) was not balanced. Prices of manufactured products vs. primary products was to high. This imbalance of exchange continued to plunge Africa further into the global periphery (underdevelopment)
