I know some questions sound stupid to some of you out there, but there are some people who need legitamate answers to something bothering them. Why or why not show some respect to your fellow human being? Wouldn't you like the same courtesy?

Hey, when I feel a question deserves a serious answer, and I can provide one, I give it... I expect people to be smart enough to know the humour from the real answers, and I am sure that my answers amuse some, and someone else can give a real answer to a question I find silly..

what ? could you give an example ? I not sure your question is valid without some example. May be the response is frustrating due to it's source being insulting to anothers intelligence and that frustration only appears to be sarcastic or they had it coming as the so the pendulum swings . I would have had to of been there I guess. So why are some so overly sensitive to the confident sarcasm or facetiousness of others ? I guess maby I don't understand that what you want .Sometimes sarcasm is a legit way of giving an indirect yet genuine answer.Is it more courteous to lie just for the sake of agreement and to not offend in the process?

I only give sarcastic answers if people are letting their ignorance blind them. Sorry if that offends you but I feel like sometimes they deserve it. Also some of them ask questions like that just to get a reaction out of people, needless to say they succeed. If I feel like it is a real question that someone sincerly needs answered I try to help as best I can. Others who are just smartasses all the time do it because they grow a backbone behind a computer screen and they wouldnt have the guts to say that to someone's face.

If you want a legit answer, then why in the name of Christ our Savior are you posting here on Yahoo Answers? I know it's not polite to answer a question with a question, but if I have something that I really want to know the answer to, the LAST place I would go is here. My first choice would be my local Parish. Fathers Neil and Bob are more than happy to answer even the most personal of questions.

These poor souls live a life of quiet desperation.
Since they are doomed then they just want to pass it on.
The world has many good people but it seems that these sorry individuals get all the attention.
Most of the people that I am with have good manors and show courtesy. On the Internet its full of boorish people who are very selfish and self centered. Plus they are bored.

With all due respect, Yahoo answers is not the place for serious questions. That would be known as Google Groups for the modern-minded, Usenet for the more obscure-oriented. Get over it. Also, a lot of questions on Yahoo are SO STUPID or SO IGNORANT that a lot of us, NOT just teenagers, get a kick out of reading and responding in like fashion.

I agree with your commentary.
I, myself am getting so tired of the bad language, pornographic questions and responses, and lack of intelligence and courtesy when choosing to answer a question by some people.
However, my thanks and praise to all of you out there who genuinely care enough to take the time to study a question, and return with a response that is not only acceptable and extremely helpful.
I will always try to be helpful, and honest when I can.

Why is it that some people have a name that is also a animal? There are so many sarcastic answers here due to people asking dumb question's.
