The nucleus of that band hasn't put out an album in 15 years. Besides, there are bands their age that aren't in yet that deserve it also. Maybe Axl Rose needs to quit being a jerk and get the group back for one album.

A band is eligible to be in the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album, and has had a contribution to rock and roll. So, you might have to wait a bit longer, but I think that they'll get in as soon as they are eligible. They revived rock, and helped make a move back toward guitar oriented rock for the short time that it lasted.

In order to be in consideration for the HOF, a group/artist must have recorded their first song a minimum of 25 years prior to being elected. Also, the band must have had some significant impact (theoretically) on the music industry in order to be inducted. The Beatles, the Sotnes, Aerosmith ,CCR, etc all have either sold an incredible amount of CD's or have had a huge affect on the bands that came behind them, or have significanly changed the way the music industry works. GNR, regardless of your personal thoughts on them, or their music, has done none of these things.

Artists purely replace into eligible for induction to the hall of repute 25 years after the launch of their first checklist. which ability GnR replace into eligible in 2012, and Nirvana in 2014. The Who have been inducted to the hall of repute in 1990. concerning to unique contributors of a band being inducted, its the band as an entire who're inducted not the guy contributors. something comparable surpassed off whilst Blondie have been inducted some years in the past..they allowed 2 unique contributors who had left to settle for the award on degree with them, yet did not choose to play with them.

I think the band has to have been around for a minimum of 25 years and GNR came out big about 20 years ago. I think Appetite was released in '86 or '87

Age. Most inductees into the R&RHOF are long-term bands that predate the 90s.
Their longevity isn't the greatest, but I wouldn't be suprised if one day they were inducted.
