I mean, here we are in the year 2007 and we still have leaders from the school of oldthought leading our best men and women in war. No wonder we can't get a consensus amongst our population regarding any LGBT issue, are we're too busy training ourselves to be bigots in the name of freedom to realize that the freedom we attempt to bring others across the globe isn't even available in our own country? Whats up with that?

As a veteran, i knew several gay people in the military.

I didnt care at all.

Personally i think if for SOME reason a gay guy wants to go to the military GOOD LUCK!

I think a lot of it stems from the open shower bay situations that you find a lotta times in the military.

Personally i think a gay guy would have to be PRETTY DAMNED brave to look around in the shower in the military. He is apt to get the living hell beat outta him if he is caught.

He will be dead in ten years. The old crows are dying out and a new breed is entering the game.

There have been gays inthe military since the days of Alexander the Great and there will be gays in the military when this mans great grandchildren are dust in the earth. He is not going to change anything.

My answer is probably off the undertaking, yet gay men should not be enable to serve in the protection rigidity. this is till ultimately we coach our childrens and study ourselves to grasp and value others for their abilitities and contributions and lots for their sexual orientation. the reality is that no remember how a lot of human beings clain to be happy with gays serving in the protection rigidity, there is often that harrassment. Even officers who're meant to be the leaders, they are able to't conceal thier contempt. this is unhappy how the final shooter and ultimate bodily in good shape infantrymen turns into valueless as quickly as he comes out.

I agree....Just dont know at what point these people are going to ask the question"what does morality have to do with working or serving the military?".....This country is way behind Europe and Canada in a lot of ways.....sad....

This is what I learned while in the Air Force during the Viet Nam era

There are two things that ruin the moral of any outfit.
Homosexuals and thief's..

but to tell the truth..i hate the thief's but would not have any problem with the homosexuals...they have been proven to be loyal and also they can be real heroes too..it happens..so what?

Talking about morals, that was something to laugh at. Im sure he has done something immoral in his life time and has the nerve that say that gay acts are immorals. Come on, these people are fighting for our country our Freedom and are giving their lifes for us.

Its just like in world war I and II when blacks were not allowed to serve, and if they did they were given jobs at the front lines.

Frankly once we get overextended in a few more wars they will allow gays and lesbians serve. although they have tried lowering standards and allowing criminals in... but hey at least they are not gay.

Is hw rhw one I was just reading about who said gays sex was morally equivalent to a heterosexual having an extramarital affair?

What an idiot!

If he wants to get all moral on us, let him try to ban ALL non-marital sex for all military personel - lets see how many volunteers he gets then!!!

BTW, this "moral army" talk reminds me of Alice's Restaurant...
