My most unsual animal would be okapi. The okapi looks like it might be part zebra and part giraffe. In fact, it is related to the giraffe, though it is only about five feet high at the shoulder and has a much shorter neck. A mammal, it has a red-brown body and dazzling white stripes on its legs and bottom.

The okapi is unquestionably one among the main unusual animals of the rainforest. that's a relative of the giraffe that lives interior the savanna. The okapi in straight forward terms lives in a small area of rainforest interior the country of the Democratic Republic of Congo (earlier referred to as Zaire). human beings did no longer understand the okapi existed till 1901. that's a relative of the giraffe, regardless of the undeniable fact that that's lots smaller. that's 6 ft tall and weigh 500 pounds. The okapi has stripes on its rear and legs like a zebra. It has a blue tongue that's a foot long!

My suggestion would be an Okapi. They are native to the Congo, and resemble a cross between a Giraffe, Zebra, and a Horse. They were also known as the African Unicorn and are the symbol for the International Society for Cryptozoology. Definitely an unusual animal to Westerners as they weren't known to exist to those outside of it's habitat until the early 1900's. They were also a 1/3 of a softball team name we played under, so it has deep meaning to me.

The Pangolin. It's an armored anteater that looks like a walking pineapple with a tail. It can roll up in a ball like an armadillo, has a sticky tongue like an anteater, and claws like a giant sloth's that can rip open solidified mud or rotten logs to find insects to eat. Extremely neat looking and interesting animal.

The head of a dog, stripes on its lower back like a tiger, back legs like a kangaroo, jaws that open amazingly wide!!! And most animal have 4 toes on each foot, front and back. Not these, the front are like dog feet, but have 5 toes!! look them up, it is the wierdest. Also ligers and tigons are too.

The Platypus (Ornithorhynchus anatinus) is a semi-aquatic mammal endemic to eastern Australia and Tasmania. Together with the four species of echidna, it is one of the five species of monotremes, the only mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young. It is the sole living representative of its family (Ornithorhynchidae) and genus (Ornithorhynchus), though a number of related species have been found in the fossil record.

I think the most unusual animal is the Lyrebird because it perfectly mimics artificial sounds that it hears in its environment. They are found in Australia and they have been recorded mimicing chainsaws, camera shutters, car alarms, car engines, rifle-shots, dogs barking, and crying babies. You can find videos and sound streams on the internet. You won't believe it till you see it.
