I go crazy every month. For me it's the worst when my pms coincides with a full Moon, last time it was even 'better' - total eclipse of a full Moon! I thought I'd grow vampire teeth, claws and start howling! ... And now I'm feeling just fine, back to normal..until my next pms!

Hormones can be such a pain- you are probably not crazy!! Emotional roller coaster with PMS. Emotionally unstable you might want to talk to your health care provider. If you are feeling physically unstable - talk to the doc. Sometimes mild medications can help . Gearing down and not being quite as busy on those "off days". Top of the line would be to go get some "pampering" pedicure, new hair do, soak in hot tub. Another words be easy on yourself.

I only feel unstable the first day. It's to the point that I seriously cannot move. My husband has had to help me to the bathroom before, because I couldn't walk on my own.

Unstable is an understatement. Those around me think I'm nuts. But when I watch what I eat, things are so much better. If I stay away from caffeine...in coffee/tea...chocolate...soft drinks and if I abstain from high fat foods too

When I went on Zoloft for PPD after losing my baby at 21 weeks my OB/GYN told me that some women take this only for the week before their periods to help with severe PMS. There are other options out there. Speak to your doctor. Also, go to a health-food store and check natural remedies.

Some women actually take anti-depressants or other psychotropics right before their period because their moods feel uncontrollable.

Some women find if they increase their calcium intake and cut down on salt about a week before their period, their emotional symptoms are greatly decreased. Wouldn't hurt to try!!
