Get into a Rotisserie Baseball League...you will soon become addicted and it will consume enormous amounts of time (See, like right now, as I'm answering, I'm also checking out the stats of Pittsburgh's Ian Snell, and trying to figure out whether he will be worth drafting this year...I need a life, I know.) Immersing ones self in March Madness can do the trick two (First round, Winthrop vs. Notre Dame, what do you think? Sorry.)

Seriously, if the two of you were close, it's going to hurt...and depending on how close you were, it may hurt for a good long time. What you need to keep in mind is that as good as you two had it, she will not be the last (or probably even the best) relationship you will ever have. Keep your chin up....keep telling yourself that you are a good person (OK, maybe I'm assuming a bit...I'll take that chance.), and in time you will attract an equally good person to you.

Don't build a wall around yourself, don't hole up in the apartment (or house), and for goodness sakes, don't lower your standards...do be patient, and do expect to feel a twinge about your ex for a while...just don't dwell on it...good luck venturing out into the unattached world again...it's just like riding a bike, you'll get back in the swing of things in no time at all...stay positive...you can do this.

Well, I've only been serious with 2 guys in my life and when the first one dumped me, I was sad for a while, but then I started dating again and even though it wasn't serious, I felt desirable and beautiful again and my self esteem went back to where it was meant to be.

well, I have never fallen or been in love with anyone before, but it seems like it would take a while, unless you are strong and tend to get over things quickly.
