Yes you can, but that's stealing. Limewire is a site that promotes piracy. If you don't care, well put on yer eye patch maytee! I personally think iPods suck for that reason. You can only put on songs you own or songs you steal. If you were to get a Zune instead, you could pay $15 per month and get all the songs you want leagally. That's why I traded in my iPod....
NO you can't use Napster or any other site (Urge.com, Virgin) with iPods!!!

Legality aside, it is possible to put any mp3 onto an iPod. You simply have to know the location of the file on your computer and import it through iTunes.
When you download mp3's, and you should only download legally, they are placed into a folder of your designation on your computer. Sometimes there is some sort of Digital Rights Management, or DRM, software on music you purchase online that will restrict what devices you can use the song/s on.

Ipod can have Itunes or limewire. Or on an MP3 site, you can put the songs on a disk and make them go to Itunes.
PS: If you don't hear all of the song, you can put the song on a disk, change the name like shortening it, and puting it back on. From PC World.

Ipods play a range of file formats, including mp3s. They have a full list on their website.
You should be able to use music obtained from pretty much anywhere, legally or illegally, since most people use mp3s. It's easiest to import the mp3s into iTunes, though.

Yes. Practically any song you have can be placed on your iPod easily. All you have to do is convert it to acceptable iPod format and that takes only a simple click. When you download iTunes, it tells you how.
