It's different, and maybe it just takes some getting used to but I don't really like it. Maybe if you spell it Katary (or even Katery) then people are more likely to pronounce it correctly. When I first read it, I thought it was pronounced "Ku-tare-ie". If you like it though, then stick with it. Good luck.

I used to know a girl named Kateri. It was kinda weird at first, but after awhile it kinda grows on you. She said it was short for Katerina.
