Breastmilk can word wonders for a diaper rash. Worked for my kids!

Lanolin for breastfeeding mothers can also be very helpful when applied over the rash area. I've used that many times before (especially after applying some expressed breastmilk to the area).

Give the area pleanty of air. Try to leave the diaper off as much as possible.

Consider switching to cloth diapers. They tend to be much less irritating and allow for more air circulation.

Ahem....apparantly I completely MISSED the "adults" part. Oops. Perhaps some of the information could still be useful though, so I won't edit it out.

Sounds like a yeast infection...Yogurt is a great home remedy for that...put it on the affected area as well as eating it should help. Otherwise I recommend Gold bonds baby powder or corn starch if its external.
