What are the genres or areas of fashion?

How would you divide up the areas of fashion to include everything, broad and specific.

OK, well, this is a pretty broad topic! So, start with the broadest brush possible--there is men's fashion and there is women's fashion. Then there are age divisions (maybe not on the runways, but there certainly are in the stores!!), then there is the casual/office/formal distinction. Then there are the seasonal distinctions. Then there are the basic clothing types, such as dresses, separates, mix-and-match. Then there would be a whole category for uniforms. And so on . . . an on . . .
