I am a senior in high school and It is my goal to become a pediatrician. I live in NV andI have an unweighted 4.0, but come from a very small school (only 65 students in my grade). I do not know which university I should attend:
UNR (University of NV: Reno)
U.C. Davis
University of Washington (Seattle)
Stanford
CSU Chico
CSU Sacramento

I am still waiting for replies from Stanford and Davis. I've been accepted to the others. Any advice? Thanks.

If you are admitted to Stanford, go.

If you are not admitted to Stanford, go to UC Davis.

If you are not admitted to Stanford or UC Davis, go to U Washington.

These three universities have excellent pre-med advising programs, and excellent departments in the hard sciences (bio, chem, physics, etc.). Each of these schools will provide excellent preparation for medical school, if that is the path you choose.

Best wishes to you, and congratulations!

Stanford is the best university among those you have listed. If they accept you, go there. It will prepare you well for med school. But if you don't get in there, I would seriously consider UNR. They have an excellent school of science, and some of those California schools are either too big and impersonal or obsessed with party life.
