saltwater drops in the nostrils to relieve nasal congestion (you can buy these - also called saline nose drops - at any pharmacy)
a cool-mist humidifier to increase air moisture
petroleum jelly on the skin under the nose to soothe rawness
hard candy or cough drops to relieve sore throat
a warm bath or heating pad to soothe aches and pains
steam from a hot shower

Zinc is something that can speed up your recovery, however, it's if you are just about to catch a cold... that is when you should use Zinc. You can't do much else apart from what you are already doing, resting, drinking lots of fluids, vitamin C, staying away from cold beverages, and so on. Feel better. : )

Relax, try not to do much activities. Drink some green tea and stay warm (try taking a hot bath...) and if you do all that you said then the cold should not last long =)

Is it allergy related? It has been bad this time of year. Also yogurt or that new Dannon Active drink is very good for helping your body's immune system. And no, unfortunately they are not paying me to tell you this- it really has helped me with getting well.
