Don't be ashamed be safe.
I heard a news story last week about a boy with a toothache; since he was from a poor family he couldn't get his tooth treated. That simple infection migrated to his head entered his brain and killed him. You may not have to face this, there is a only a small chance, but it is not a chance that you want to take.
Doctors have patient confidentiality as part of the oath they take before becoming doctors. If you tell a doctor to not tell anyone about your condition then he will be bound by that oath. Even in a court of law the doctor cannot revel what your condition is and what the discussions took place between you.
If you are under 18 then as a minor he may not feel obligated to his oath. In that case tell him that you won't let him treat you unless he swears to you that he will not tell anyone, not even your parents.
Then get the condition treated. I don't care what the disease is or how embarrassing it is you are best if you seek medical attention.
There are now over the counter remedies that can really treat an established infection. There are antiseptic creams and sprays that can treat a cut to prevent it from getting infected, but if the infection is in your blood system then you need a prescribed medication, which you can't get without a seeing a doctor.
Look at me as your average doctor. I don't know what you have and it really isn't important to me, not as important as it is to see you are treated. I don't have a connection to you I don't even know you. By your embarrassment I have a clue to what my be wrong, but I am not even going to guess at it. I don't even want to know. But, I strongly, strongly suggest that you swallow a little pride and get the help you need.
A lot of diseases have horrible effects that are unknown to the general public because in our modern world we never see them in their final stages. Something like Sylphs is nasty and fatal, if left untreated. In fact if the disease is left alone long enough then brain damage is the result. This almost never happens because it is so easy to treat, but a lot of infections can go this way; unless they are treated promptly.

How do you know you have a vaginal bacterial infection? Were you diagnosed or is this self-diagnosis?
If you do have an infection, please go see a doctor. If left untreated, the infection could spread and you could actually become infertile. Would that be worth it, just to save yourself embarrassment? Besides, the doctor is not going to judge you. Doctors are there to treat illnesses, no matter how they came about. You aren't the first girl to get a bacterial infection, if indeed that's what it is, and you certainly won't be the last.
Make an appointment and get the proper treatment. If it's a bacterial infection, no home remedy is going to cure it. And please do NOT take fish or any other antibiotic on your own. That is extremely dangerous and could actually cause any bacteria to mutate, thus leaving you with an infection that is extremely difficult to treat. Good luck!

I"m in the med profession...don't try home remedies and please don't go to get fish meds like another suggested. Go to a Dr. The treatment depends on diagnosis..It could be as simple as a true bacterial infection which doesnt require antibiotics at all , just prescription creams. Whatever it is... go, go, go to a Dr. It will get worse and not go away on its own...

JAMIE please go and get it treated- it can lead to long term problems for you trust me I've seen it so many times. Don't be ashamed nearly 1/3 of all the women we see have these same kinds of problems, and some, one in particular has had to come back so many times she is totally exhausted by it, but she has finally after the longest and not giving up-got it under control now! But you gotta see a Doc.Please -Friend. it's a completely natural woman's problem- I prefer to see another woman Doc though-personal advise-women Doctors tend to know and be more in touch with our bodies and it's not that bad either. that's my personal preference, everyone to their own liking of course.

Depends on what the infection is. It most likely would get much worse without treatment. Don't worry about being ashamed, gynocologists are not phased by much and will help you to relax.

You better get to the doctor. Don't worry about embarassment. All bacterial infections aren't sexually orientated if that's what your worried about.

sure you can give it a try using home remedies. I don't know what you got I'm not a psychic but hope the site below helps...if not you will have to do a search on your specific problem. if you don't treat it can get worse depending what it is and can cause internal damamge.

Just go to the doctor--they've seen everything. It's not like your situation is going to shock them. It happens--that's why they learn about it in med school.
