Hi Muhammad- kudos on your infinite wisdom--would you like to become our world leader? You certainly would have my vote, but you do lack the underlying need that leads eventually to greed. There are too many people that are starving and dying in this world, not just the US and cannot survive without hurting others in order to stay alive themselves- just like the animals in the jungle- one survives by eating the other. So it is with humans, only due to our enormous brain power, too many of us humans have taken the survival instinct into overdrive and have produced a world of greedy, narcissistic workaholics that cannot step off the greedy wheel for one second to smell the coffee- or the fruits of their labor. They have alienated themselves from their families and friends and have become machines for good of the almighty dollar; their God.
I'm with you, the world would be a better place if it was less materialistic, slower paced and on that note we would truly bring back the "day of rest" where NO ONE worked, you only went to worship at your church and spent the day with your family and friends---the loss of just this one day a week, in my opinion, has been the downfall of our society. We no longer have quality time with our families--both parents work and children are being raised by, who? The new generations will have no sense of family values-- because there IS no family in their lives as we knew it. There are only a few cultures that have kept these traditions to this date and they are: the Jews, Muslims, Chinese and Japanese. They still hold the family as the most important value in their lives, and I believe they will be the races that will flourish in the future years.

Some behavior is taught, and some is a reaction to our environment. Humans who never get enough, become greedy. Humans who are treated badly, treat others badly. On the other hand, some humans are treated well and still treat others badly. This is due to that person's self image. Native Americans also believe that some human beings are born with no soul and should be put out of their misery as quickly and humanely as possible. I don't know, but this would explain how some humans might not have the same ability to feel. We know these as psychological conditions. Some can be cured or managed with therapy, and some require that the person be kept under observation for the rest of their life. The wisest thing to do is to take every opportunity to respect those around you, as well as yourself. It's really easy to fall into the trap of looking down on others, and it doesn't really make us any better. It might make us feel better in the short run, but ust like penny candy, it doesn't last long and it rots something inside us.

I totally agree with you on this topic and everything you just said. I believe that humans know they have it all and are willing to risk it because none of these things really matter in the end. When a person dies, there's nothing that remains with them - not family members, not their body, not happiness, or the pain one might feel when they die. Hurting people doesn't matter to them because they don't care or even believe in what the afterlife may have to offer them; the afterlife is when Life really begins!

I think expectations had, which do not come to fruition, may leave most of us exasperated and frustrated.
At this point, why keep trying to be more selfless and less greedy than ever we would have thought ourselves to possibly become?
It'd be like saying . . "Well, my heart was really in it!"
or,
"I was in earnest"
or, "my intentions were enthused" - but then everything went awry . . so who the hell wants to continue to try . . I am no saint . . and as for saints, with tolerance and patience abounding, well, if I came across one, I'd probably burn him/her because I've been Burned myself! - SO . . .

You answered your own question really, selfishness. If people would think about the reaction to an action first, maybe life would be better. If you always put yourself first it only ends up hurting others.

because it is human nature is to "be"/feel superior, and we think short term usually and it would be too good of a world if we all were able to think things throught because if that was possible the world could unite and run peacefully as one.
