I need to find a book that deals with a post-apocalyptic theme or maybe even a dystopian world, where the main characters are two best friends. Anyone know a book that might be like this?

There's "Brother in the Land" or "Fallout" by Robert Swindells, but the boy and girl don't meet until after the "event," and probably become friends more out of necessity for survival rather than anything else.
Are you looking for a specific one, or just this type of book in general? It's one of my favorite genres, so let me know if you need more input.

I don't know 'bout the "two best friends" part, but John Wyndham's apocalyptic The Day of the Triffids has always been a favorite with me.

Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank, but they might be brothers. It's been a while since I read it.
