How can I disable my firewall?

Go to Control Panel (Start, Control Panel)
Go to Security
Click on Windows Firewall
Click on the Exceptions tab
Select the software that came with your camera
You have now told the firewall to allow traffic from your camera.

depends on which firewall u have the windows xp firewall can be disabled through control panel

I had a similar problem, and wrestled with my router's settings, my computer's port settings, etc... Nothing (NOTHING) worked until I re-installed Yahoo Instant Messenger AFTER I installed the webcam. Then it worked as it was supposed to...
