I want to go to college, Which are you suppose to do first?

Okay, I filled out a FASFA about two years ago, and didnt end up going to that college, and now I want to go to a different one. Do I need to reapply for the FASFA before I apply to the college? Is it too late to apply for this fall. So confused, I dont even know how I did it before! I'm not really sure of the order of the things that I have to do.

You can fill it out before or after you apply to college. You will need to list what colleges you are applying for on the application. There are school codes you'll need; the fafsa website will help you find them. The date it is due by varies by state. I recommend doing it as soon as you can just to have it done. Some states' deadlines have passed and others are open for a few more months.

For non-competitive schools the deadlines are rolling, so it isn't too late. After you get accepted then you re-apply for Federal Aid with the FAFSA
