For love songs, I always recommend "Caroline" by Seventh Day Slumber. It's not a real well-known song, so if you plan on singing it, it's not likely to turn out cheesy due to being literally sung to death like so many love songs have been.
And it's not country. Seventh Day Slumber is actually a Christian band, but "Caroline" sounds like a regular love song. Anyway, I love the song, it's got a good "I'd do anything for you" vibe to it, and I bet you'll like it too.
