Get yourself some pure acetone and pour it in a thick plastic or glass dish.
dip cotton balls into the solution and soak them really good.
Apply the cotton balls to each nail, each time securing it with aluminum foil, this keeps you from soaking your skin in the acetone, which is not good for you.
Make sure the aluminum foil is wrapped well around the finger.
Leave it for 20 minutes or so and then peel the foil off and remove cotton. The acrylic will be quite gooey.
You can usually use a wooden cuticle pusher and work the acrylic off and /or a nail file.
Stop filing when you reach your natural nail.
Never let anyone go after your acrylic nails with those damn cuticle nippers. Usually the shops who do that don't give a damn about their client and their natural nails underneath. Time is money to them!

The only way to remove them is with acetone. It has to be pure acetone, not acetone polish remover. Go to Wal-mart or similar store in the paint department and buy acetone(small can). Pour some into a glass(not metal) bowl deep enough to submerse all your nails. It will take some time so be patient. Use a metal nail file to gently scrape off the product periodically. Be ready to buff the nails afterwards as they will look dry and weird. Add cuticle oil or lotion to replenish lost moisture.

soak for a few minutes in nail-polish remover( it cant be acetone free) you will still have to file them off but it will work alot better if you soak them first,tip....a really rough file will work best on fake nails, you may need a couple of them acrylics and gel wear down a file pretty fast.Good luck.

first clip them as much as you can with a nail clipper and soak them in 100% pure acetone and every once in a while file off the acrylic little by little...

Acetone, and nail file as an additional tool in case you get stuck (just try not to damage your real nails :)

best way is to have them taken off.. they use a special solution so it would come off easy... don't try to take it off yourself you might ruin your natural nails
