This is so funny, my daughter all through her teenage years would always say Happy Birthday to you too!! I think that sometimes we just dont think and just respond.

No, but some old lady told me to have fun at college and without thinking, I said, "You too" I felt kind of stupid.

No, not ever. But when someone says "thank you," I always say "Thank you, too" instead of saying "you're welcome" - even if they didn't do anything. Who knows why we say the things we do.
