The LCD may be bad. You should have a video out connector on the back of your pc to plug a CRT monitor into. Try an external monitor if your pc is a laptop. Sometimes you can toggle monitors with the Fn + F2 keys if there are two monitors plugged into the system(laptops).

because u are not getting any V I D E O... ur sound comes from A U D I O... 2 different things... u might want to check the cables make sure everything is connect correctly. if on a notebook, take the power bezel off and reseat the video cable connection.
