Looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Valdez in March/April...Any good tips? We are also willing to winter camp if you know of any great spots :-D

Winter camping is lots of fun, I trust you are back country savy? Lots of wide spots to pull over and hike up into the snow. Check with the DOT camp on Thompson Pass, many times they let folks camp out at the station; just don't be surprised to wake up to 20 feet of snow or so (only kidding more like 6 feet).
