Hi Rui!
The next total eclipse of the sun visible in Canada, after the 1972 eclipse, was on the morning of February 26th, 1979. It could be seen in parts of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and far northern Quebec (as well as the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and North Dakota). Following that, the eclipse of August 11, 1999 narrowly missed Sable Island, the Canadian dot of land off the coast of Nova Scotia.
In the future, the first total eclipse visible from the territory of Canada will be on the morning of August 1, 2008, although this can be seen only from the Arctic Islands and the extreme northern tip of the Canadian mainland.
The next one visible from the inhabited parts of Canada will be April 8, 2024 which, after crossing the U.S. from Texas to Maine, will be seen in the city of Montreal, but will miss Toronto by only a few miles (total out over Lake Ontario, but just Bailey's Beads in Toronto). It can be seen in parts of the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
