something about a high tech house that wouldn't let it's tenet leave. IT (the house) would kill people who would come to visit. Pretty good flick!

Was it "The Haunting" 1989 with Parker Stevenson. He goes to the house with a nurse to recover from an accident or something, then the house wants him to stay, so it starts killing people? Is that the one you mean?

Not sure about the one you are referring to, but Disney made one similar to this called "Smart House". The "House" held the tennants captive, but it did not kill anyone. Not sure about the original, however.
