I have a Canadian $5 bill from 1995. I know they have since reissued the $5 bill, will mine still be valid if I try to use it?

yeah, and when it's sent to the bank it'll just be taken out of circulation.
Fred, the 1995 note would be the one with Sir Laurier on the right hand side of the note and a kingfisher appearing on the back. I haven't seen one of those in years with the number of changes in Canadian currency over the past 10 years. It will be taken out of circulation.

Of course, and it will remain in circulation until it is worn out. They haven't been recalled, there are countless hundreds of thousands of them still circulating.
