Yes, among other things we wouldn't have a moon.

Tides would be different, nights would be darker, we may get hit by some fairly large chunks, our atmosphere would probably alter. Any number of things are possible, but the chances of a comet big enough to actually shatter the moon coming into a collision path with the moon are astronomically low, and if it did it would probably smack off a fair sized chunk of earth as well so don't worry about the moon.

No, the moon is too far away to affect Earhth. The most is pieces of the comet would reach earth
