Its like I've been saying all along, it just takes the threat of leaving before politicians get their act together and reach an agreement. Let's face it, the Pens have the oldest arena in the league and everyone knows it was never a state-of-the-art facility to begin with. If any team deserves a new arena, its the Penguins. In the past, Mario Lemieux and fellow owners bent over backwards to keep the team here. With the excellent fans in Pittsburgh and threats of the team leaving, Gov Rendell was forced to get a deal done or lose a ton of votes, not to mention staining his record. Glad to see it finally getting done but it should have been done a lot sooner. Now all of Pittsburgh's teams will have nice places to play as well as their fans being able to enjoy a modern facility. Go Pens!!!!!!!!!!!!

My thoughts:
Pittsburgh fans are happy cuz they love their Penguins.
Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will continue to wow the fans in Pittsburgh for years to come.
We don't have to embarrass the league with a team called the Kansas City Penguins or Las Vegas Penguins.
Crosby and company can now focus on the playoff run without the distraction of where the franchise will be.
I love the NHL!

I'm glad they're staying, but Lemieux almost screwed Pittsburgh on that one. He had his head buried so deep in his *** I never thought he was coming back. He turned down some great deals.
I have been a Pens fan for 22 years and would have hated Lemieux if they left Pitt.
Stop saying Lemieux saved the Pens again, he didn't. I think Bettman did.

I like the idea. I'm tired of teams moving around. I like rivalries, tradition, old time hockey, blah, blah, blah. The Pens are a part of the Pittsburgh landscape. Thats why Mario jumped out there, put his eggs in the basket, and kept the ball rolling. It don't sound right, the Las Vegas Penquins, It'd be like The Cheyene Maple Leafs, or how about the Abalene Canadiens, or the El Paso Islanders!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy they are staying.
They would butcher our histroy here if they moved us.
Mario knows how to play the game to win, if you know what i mean. I think they will become a much stronger team because of this.
The heart attack kids are kicking you know what this season which is so weird since last year...
i loved them but it was a one man team.
the offense this year is unbelievable. i think our downfall is our defense though but i mean we do have laraque now. which is completely crazy since he has to be the best fighter ive ever seen hands down.
i think this arena deal will put the cherry on the season.
i think they will bring home the cup again for the city of pittsburgh.
i am so happy to call myself a pens fan bc if you are a pens fan, you are not just a fan, but you are devoted, completely crazy about them.
this deal only brings good to the city.
GO PENS!
