Looking to transfer audio from my laptop to the tv's speakers. I was planning on doing this via 2.5/3.5mm to RCA converter.

Would I need a 2.5 or 3.5mm adapter from the laptop's headphone out?

Thanks

Most, if not all laptops, have a regular 3.5mm headphone jack. Just plug in one end of the converter to it, then the RCA ends to the TV, and you should be set. If you don't have a cable, I recommend Monster because of the overall performance, sound quality, and very high durability.
