My first name is from my maternal grandfather, and my middle name is from my paternal grandfather. I named my son after Nick Barkley on The Big Valley. My wife wouldn't let me give him the middle name Heath. My daughter named my grandson after my son and gave him my middle name. No one in my family has any imagination.

This will crack you up. I'm named after a movie that my mom just LOVED when she was pregnant with me. If I tell you the name of the movie, you'd know my real name.
Suffice it to say, when I saw it finally as a teenager, I foud it it was about two teenagers who fall in love while in a mental institution.
Now I know why mom used to get the giggles over my first real boyfriend - he was the counterpart name! AAAAAHHHH!!!
Explains a lot about me, don't it? LOL

My dad had two kids from a previous marriage, and they have Russian names. So, my mom thought she'd continue the pattern by giving me a Russian name, not realizing it's actually jewish of arabic origin.
