I was worried about all that too at first, but now just not think about that. Just think about the part after! Where you'll hold & Have the Baby forever. It will all be worth it no matter how bad it will be!!! Best of Luck to you!

Your hips do not seperate from your body and your skin does not rip open during a natural birth. When you are pregnant your hips widen, especially at the end of your pregnancy because your body is getting ready for the baby to go down the birth canal. The only time a person gets sewn up after natural child birth is if you have an episiotomy, where the outside of your vagina is cut so you do not tear when the baby comes out and if the baby rips your vagina coming out if you did not have an episotomy.

It is true that there may be some tearing or an episiotomy that will need stitching following the delivery. However, this hip separation you are talking about is as follows:
In order to make room for the baby's head your pelvic bones (on on each side of you makes up your hips and pubic region) must shift around a bit. One these shifts is a slight pulling apart. There is cartilage in between the pelvic bones where they meet in your pubic area (this part of the pelvic structure is called the pubis or the pubic fusion). This cartilage is there especially for childbirth. It allows for your bones to shift without dislocation or separation. Our bodies are meant to give birth, and all the structures are in place to allow the passage of a baby.
NOTE: The pelvic bones fall back into place shortly after delivery. The cartilage acts like a rubber band (it moves back into place fairly quickly).

WOW that just sounds really bad the way you put it, but your hips do have to move to give way for the baby to fit through. It goes back, but it takes awhile and there are certain exercises to help as well. As for the tearing. Some woman prefer to have an episiotomy where they make a cut so that you don't tear (which is worse) and then they stitch it after you give birth. Not everyone tears though. If you do they stitch it right after. There are ways to prevent it like massage. It is usually only a few stitches and if you are like me it really isnt bad.

Yes you can rip and yes they do sew it back. Its just a small cut, or rip, if they dont get you cut soon enough.... Its not a big deal. Your hips widen then whole time your pregnant dear. It hurts like hell and the word Labor is true. You will be working hard to deliver the baby, But once its here....... Its worth it.

My god, do you seriously believe this? Whoever you heard this from is a moron. Your hips do NOT separate, and if you tear, from having a big baby, tight perineum etc, they stitch you up. How old are you? Have you done any sex ed? God, I hope you're not pregnant! Women have been birthing babies naturally for thousands of years without tearing. My hips have expanded slightly from being pregnant many times, but they're still where they should be!

Your hips don't separate from your body. You can have tearing if the baby comes out too fast. They will stitch it and you'll be ok.

NO NO AND NO, your hips do move out but onky enough to let the babys head fit through. there is no sowing back up, the only sowing they will do is if you tear which 80% woman do (between the Vagina and the Anus)
