It's not really easy to know.
The possibilities are:
the test is right - you aren't pregnant - you've missed your period for some other reason - stress, illness, just sometimes happens
the test is wrong - false negative test, faulty test, done too early and hormone level too low (can happen with urine tests)
Your options are:
(1) see a doctor - you can get a (more accurate) blood test or discuss reasons why you might have missed your period
(2) recheck your urine pregnancy test - maybe do it with a different brand test to see if it is any better - also maybe wait a few more days - if you are pregnant it might take a little time for the hormone level to build up - if it is negative you are still back to square 1
