I used to have the same problem. I am 24 now and have my own place but if I go somewhere by myself or for too long I still have a more minor version of homesickness. I feel for you. It's good you are learning to deal with it now, even though it sucks.

Let me first say: It is okay to cry. Sometimes you have to let your emotions out to feel better.

Many people suggested calling your mom, that is another option. Talking to anyone on the phone always helps.

Try to keep your alone time to a minimum. If you have friends around or anyone try and do something, even if you don't feel like it. Something somewhat active or cheery.

If there is some other activity you can get into, really get into try that too. Maybe if your into writing poems or stories or crafts.

If you are on a field trip, sneak out of your room. That's always fun. If not, go on a walk at night (carry a big stick or something, be safe, go with someone), that can be fun too.

Just remember the first tip. Cry if you have to, you will feel better.

(oh and you can google homesickness cure and you'll get some useful info)

Awww, I'm sorry you're so sad! Your mom would want you to be enjoying yourself, not missing her! Why don't you call her and talk to her and tell her how much you miss her? That would make you feel a whole lot better. I'll bet she'll say just the right things to you! Wednesday is not too far away. Just try to stay busy, and you'll feel a lot better. Is there anything on tv or anyone to talk to or play a game with, or a book to read? Keep your mind occupied and you'll do better. Since you have access to a computer maybe there is a subject you'd like to google to find out more about.

Call your mom. Tell her everything you wrote on here. I remember going to Washington D.C. for an 8th grade field trip for school. We were only there 3 or 4 days. The second day, I called my mom bawling because I was so homesick. After talking to her, I felt much better. Moms always know the right thing to say, so just call yours.

That's too bad, honey! Find a good book and read, read, read. Or talk to your travelling companions. Get involved in activities and concentrate on having fun. Get a disposable camera and take pictures of whatever strikes your fancy. Sing. Take a bath. Drink some tea. Pet a dog. Take care and have a good sleep.

I feel for you. Try reading a book. Any book. Even if it is boring at least you would be thinking about the book.
Try working some puzzles. Play online games. I think its good that you miss your Mom. I know she misses you. You'll be home before you know it. Tell her how much you missed her. She will love it.

write your mom a letter and send it home to her. You will be back before she gets it but she would still love it. ALso call her on the phone. Its normal for anyone at any age to be homesick.

Take out a piece of paper and write a LONG letter to her. That always makes me feel better : ) When you get home, give it to your mom and let her know how much you missed her when you were gone.

Stop thinking about it. Do anything that breaks the cycle of your thoughts, start dancing crazy or start talking to someone, if it pops into your head think "ill be home in a day" and dismiss the thought and do something to take your mind off of it.

call home, cry if you need to it helps.
If you think you can't make it that long away from home then maybe make arrangements to have someone go after you at least part ways or something.
otherwise...go out and do something fun that you like to do.
good luck
