...about my mom. She has had this pain from her neck to both of her shoulders for about 10 years. She has been to a lot of chiropractics and doctors but they tell her there is nothing wrong. I'm worried because my grandma had the same pain and she later died of cancer. Please tell me if you know something about this.
Thanks.

Many things can cause pain in the neck, muscle spasms, arthritis, disc problems, pinched nerves, nerve damage, yes, cancer, Fibromyalsia, SO many things... Has she ever really forced a doctor to LOOK at the problem, like - with an MRI? Bone Scan? CT Scan?

I have a back injury that causes constant pain - and as I age, so go problems with more of my back. Some pain is just chronic.

My Grandmother had Fibromyalsia - which not only causes unexplained pain - but it makes you not able to get relief from pain killers of any kind. Horrible. :(

Have your mom's General Physician refer her to Specialists like an Orthopedic surgeon. They will at least order a MRI to get an accurate look... maybe even a bone scan. ...A bone scan would sooner find out if there were any cancerous type masses developing.

When it comes to your heath, money is a problem. If your mom has great insurance - push it for all it's worth. If not... find a way to help her finance the investigation into the problem... but NEVER give up.

I pray that she receive healing and relief from her pain soon. ...And that you have peace!

it doesnt SOUND like cancer to me. neck and back pain are really common, especially as we get older. both are also intensified by stress. If she's expressed her concerns to doctors and they have determined that nothing is wrong then you should relax, most doctors are quite capable. But the pain is still not a nice thing to have to deal with! for her next birthday why don't u treat her with a trip to the spa for a back and neck massage?

take her to a walk in clinic, get an unbiased opinion. Maybe she just need physio, muscular stuff instead of the bones. Take her to a massage spa and treat her to something ncie.

Hope it all works out
