Now, I LOVE music with a message: music with a voice against the blind societal norms. I think that RATM are a band, that although have a heavier sound, ultimately mean to promote peace. So what do you think? Do RATM want to fight hate with hate, or want to promote peace and understanind in the hateful society of today?

if you listen to them talk, like an interview, rage is definitely all about spreading knowledge of corruption and how to fix it. they are the most intelligent band i know, and they really are an amazing group.

many people like a heavier and angst ridden sound to their music. But RATM uses this brutal sound to slap you in the face to let you know just what the hell is wrong with politics and or the world around you.

Zach is a phenomenal lyricist and found it fitting to rap/sing his words with awesome sounds from Brad, Tom, and Tim. It is all in who you know, and they all knew they could get the word out. But your question is a stumper. They don't use violence, but they do sound violent at times. I personally think that they are promoting peace by the only way this world will listen or react to, and that is a forceful sound and nature.

Rock On!!

Rage's music is all about confronting social and political issues in a very upfront and candid way. The messages that you find in their music are not intended to be offensive or over the top. They point out corruption issues on a global scale and I believe that if they never broke up, that their music today would resemble the many issues of our own political system and the greed surrounding the elitest society. They're definitely more about inspiring for peace.

"Some of those who brought forces....are the same that brought crosses! You justify those who die, but [there] in the bags are your chosen ones!"....speaks volumes to me. I believe they are definitely promoting peace. I dont care to explain why, but I know that songs like Guerrilla Radio and Bulls on Parade are two of my favorite all-time songs.

I also LOVE the rumors they're getting back together! If it's true I apologize to the true hardcore fans out there...rock n roll....

I think rage against the machine wanted to promote peace, but they often came across as angry, and bitter.
