I guess I'm in a little dilemma right now...with my college major. I really like computers and the internet, but I also like to take care of my body (A LOT) and I consider myself to be pretty good-looking with confidence and I doubt I'd fit in with the stereotypical "nerdy" and "antisocial" crowd that goes along with computer science. Any suggestions on a college major?

My husband is a programmer. He actually writes video games for a living (for one of the largest game companies in the world.) And while I think my husband is totally adorable, I know he's not the guy everyone would fall for. And yet, he has many very attractive co-workers.

If you're love working with computers and the internet, then that's what you should do. And not worry about the attractiveness of your classmates. Doing something you love will make you a content person, and that makes you attractive to others.

Of course computer programmers can be hot! Your attractiveness depends on your personality, not on your job. Being happy with your job shines through in everything you do. And since it pays very well, have the confidence to do what you like. Confidence is very sexy. Besides, you said it yourself: nerdiness is just a stereotype. You sound anything but antisocial.

Yes, I have- My best friend is a scientist, also does some computer programing- he's also a matrial artist, and pretty good looking IMO. A good number of people I know are Computer Scientists and take very good care of themselves- male and female.

Major in what you enjoy, stop worrying about opinions of others. They wont fail you because you don't look like Bill Gates, and a sport wont not take you because you're not good looking.

Stereotypes mean nothing. Major in computer science, and join a gym or take up a martial art or something.
