Everything seems to be working great except I have these faint dotted horizontal lines in the background and I can't get rid of them. I've checked the connections, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, I don't know what else to do, any suggestions?

If it's not your monitor, it's probably a bad card.

What kind of monitor do you have? Flat screen aperture grille CRTs have two or three horizontal lines running across their screens, which are actually metal strips that hold the aperture grille against the glass.

The Wisdom Cube is correct.

If these lines are running all over the screen, it is probably a bad card.

If you have one of the Big "tv" type monitors and not an LCD monitor, chances are they are just the wires holding the grill onto the screen.
