I went to casting call for a movie and I need to tell them my measurements TONIGHT! I have no idea what sizes I wear! Please help by telling me what sizes sound accurate based on my height (5'6) and weight (150).
1. I have jeans that are sizes 9/10 (these seem BIGGER than the others but they are a smaller size and ey are hiphuggers so that makes a difference), 11, 12 and 14. What size sounds more accurate based upon my height/weight?
2. I almost never wear dresses so I tried on some of my moms old dresses to figure out my size. I tried on one 18 and it was a little big but the 20 was about twice the size of me. Was one of those just inacurate? What size do you think I would wear?
Again, I am 5'6, 150 lbs and 17.
If you need more info please email me at SaveVirginiaCats@yahoo.com
Thank you sooooooo much!

When I went to a casting call, the wardrobe woman took my measurements right there. When I went back for the fitting it was the same thing...they measured me and fit everything to me. The only thing I had to be specific about was my shoe size. I would probably go for the size 12 and as far as the dress size goes maybe a 16.
The other poster is most likely right. I was measured literally at the waist (smallest part roughly around belly button), hips (about 3 to 4 inches below my waist), chest and height.
Oh and good luck to you. :)

Jus get a measuring tape and go measure. Your info is so random its hard to help. You listed about 5 different sizes. Try to look up a size chart online from the stores you buy clothes at and they could give you a more accurate idea.

My guess is that you are about a 10, but if they want to know your measurements they mean the size in inches around your bust, wait and hips. Take a measuring tape and go around the fullest part of your chest. That's your bust. Now measure around the skinniest point of your waist somewhere near you belly button. That's your waist. Now measure around the biggest point on your butt. That's your hips. It'll go something like: I measure 36-28-36 and i wear a size __.

If you need to tell them your measurements, why don't you measure yourself? Measure the fullest part of your bust, the smallest part of your waist and the fullest part of your hips, what is so difficult about that?
Clothes sizes don't mean much considering you can be a size 9 in one shop and a size 14 in another.
Good luck : )

get a measuring tape and take measurements...
Bust
Waist
Hip
Look at size charts for any store online and match the measurements up. Go to target.com.
For a dress size go with the size for what your bust and waist would be.
You cant say your weight/height and have people guess your size...it depends on your proportions!

tell them your an 10 in pant size and a 12 for dress size, also if you have a soft tape measure take your measurements around your waist and hips and you can get a better idea (most clothing websites have size charts)

they are more then likely looking for measurements in inches, not the numbers you find on labels. take a tape measure and measure around your bust, chest under your bust, waist, and hips as well as the length from shoulder to shoulder, arm length and leg length(if you don't have one get a string and measure around with that, keeping a finger where it ends and measure how much of the string you used) if you give them that then they should be more then happy considering they can figure anything out about your body from that

It sounds like they want your measurements, not your dress size. They probably want you to measure your bust, waist and hips. Look online for exactly where to measure, just search for body measurements.
