I love this song very much. But I want to know what is the meaning of “Hollaback girl. Because I couldn't find that word “Hollaback” in the dictionary. As I could know from
Lyric, it's seemed that this song is written for the girls who feel they've been victimized.

urbandictionary.com has a variety of suggestions, from the head cheerleader to one who doesn't step down to someone who fights back with words to (my favorite) a girl who cannot resist a booty call.
I think the urbandictionary fan who suggested that it's something Gwen just made up might be the closest to the truth. But she got a gold number 1 record out of it, so who's hollering now?

A female, usually a teenager or young adult, who, when insulted, will reply verbally. This is typically achieved by insulting the original insulter (otherwise known as 'hollering back', shortened in this case to 'hollaback').
This term was popularized by Gwen Stefani, a female vocalist who once performed lead vocals for a rather good band, No Doubt. Gwen has since gone solo, which people either love or hate, depending on how much they suckle upon the mainstream teet.
In her song "Hollaback Girl", Gwen proclaims, when challenged by another girl (even though Gwen can hardly be described as a girl) through insults, that she "Ain't no hollaback girl". This is because Gwen is not a girl, but a woman, isn't going to stand for this, and is going to settle it physically.
(Note: The song, from this point, degrades into the usual Gwen Stefani lyrics: pointless, annoying, and unbearably catchy).

There is no clear definition for the term "Hollaback Girl", but urbandictionary.com has more than a few idea's as to what it is. I guess you can take a look at it and see what other people think it means.
Personally, I think it has something to do with talking back...lol...but I dont know any "ghetto" slang, so I could be entirely off-base...lol

That song has become a favorite of my 2 year old niece. In listening to the lyrics I interpet to mean that a "hollaback girl" is not one that's going to sit up and exchange words with you, she's gonna move something. Or in other words: not one to argue, if you got a problem...let's fight it out.

Someone who allows people to treat him/her like a doormat and walk all over him/her.
Invented by Gwen Stefani in her song "Hollaback girl" where she repeats she isnt a hollaback girl and clearly she means it.. she's the moneymaker

in the song it sounds like a "hollaback girl" is someone who just talks crap either behind the person's back or during some kind of confrontation - like disses or w/e. she's saying she's not that kind of person. she'd rather fight it out i guess.

As I understand it, this means when a dude (who is not known to the girl in question) says or yells something like "hey baby"; y'know something along those lines? And the song quote "aint no holla back girl" means she aint gonna' give this dude the time of day.
I play the drums, & in my humble opinion this tune has a bit of funkiness to it!

It means something like someone who's been abused physically and emotionally and is so broken she can be easily gotten over in a relationship, etc. Like she's someone who isn't valued very much. :)

sorry, but i can't resist. ppl have answered your question so I'll tell you that when i first heard this song I thought it said "ain't no car out back girl" and my kids think i'm so corny that now i walk thru the mall singing it like that.
