I just got a DVD camcorder with a 30MB hard drive. Only after I got home I realized that my burner is not DVD capable. All I need is something good enough to preserve my home videos of my children, without costing an exorbitant amout of money.

You can get a dvd burner for as low as $40. Try http://www.newegg.com and get a Sony.

If you're handy, you can get an internal DVD/CD burner at newegg.com and install it yourself. I'd also like to offer an alternative to that option by suggesting that you can also pick up an external burner for a bit more money. The advantage of this is that it's portable, and can be used with various pc's over time. Below is a link to an example. Hope this helps.
