Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.

If they are about an inch or so long they are carpenter ants. They tunnel through the wood of your house to build their homes inside the timbers. They need to be poison-baited by a professional to get them gone before they do significant damage.
They particularly like damp wood because it is easier for them to cut through.

call in the pest control and regularly have them spray about every 2 years or use a house hold insect spray from your local hardware store!!
