I used vitamin E oil on some scars I had after surgery and I'd say it really helped them fade!

If anything, try Aloe Vera- an herb that seems to work well for all kinds of skin conditions and, I believe, there are actual scientific studies done to prove that it actually works too! Be very careful of how much vitamin E you take because it can have a negative influence on your heart! If you do not increase vitamin E dosages in slow increments, it can cause your heart to beat too fast (at least when you take it in supplemental form- I would also be cautious about creams too), thus causing heart problems, and even a heart attack. Now, this being said, vitamin E does have a lot of benefits too- like vitamin C, it has some excellent antioxidant properties that may help reduce toxins, free radicals, and reduce the chances of getting certain types of cancers!

It does work, when I was younger I had to have a surgery and I did use vitamin E and it helped my scar, I just broke the capsule open and rub to oil over the scar. It takes a long period of time of use to help the scars to fade.

I heard that it does if you apply it to the scars. I don't know for certain if it's true, though.

I tried it and it did not work. What does work is Mederma. You can get it in the pharmacy without a prescription.
