I had just finished a bout of antibiotics and a lot of painkillers for two bacterial infections and I am feeling bloated, tight in my abdomen, and I have been constipated. I have not really experienced nausea, nor increased urination nor tenderness in my breasts. I have another week of my B.C. pills before I go on the placebos but I am wondering if I should try to have my period a week early to relax my worries (or potentially get me ready for what's to come sooner). I also have been under obscene amounts of stress lately from different angles. Am I pregnant or are these just symptoms of stress? Also, could it be that my body is still getting over being sick? Please help.

don't sweat it yet...it's most likely just stress.....those are all specifically signs of stress....I can remember every month wondering and worrying and wondering and worrying...the funny thing for me was just when I'd get overanxious enough to do a pregnancy test, I would literally start the next day, lol.

You were smart to use condoms though, certain antibiotics are well known to cause pills to lose their effectiveness. Condoms are really pretty effective, though, when used properly, so chances are pretty good that you're fine. Those can definitely also be signs of reaction to your meds...again very possible.

Certain early signs of pregnancy do certainly mimic those of stress, but the one thing I can remember most clearly is feeling soooooo tired I couldn't keep my eyes open...literally. I took naps every day for like 6 weeks! The frequent urination thing is most often associated with later in pregnancy when the baby sits on your bladder, not so much at first...but boy you will know if your breasts are tender and the nipples get larger...you won't have to wonder...you will KNOW!! LOL

Unfortunately, without a BLOOD TEST, no one can tell you 100% for certain, but just from experience I think you are probably OK. Wait it out until you are supposed to start your period, and then if you're more than 2-3 days late, just go spend the five bucks and get a quick pregnancy test...and if it says NO...BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS and have a great day :)

you could be pregnant since antibioics interfere with birth control meds. Good for you for using condoms also. I think you should buy yourself a pregnancy test just to give you peace of mind.

it doesnt seem like ur pregnant but over stressed - dont force ur periods to come early if u dont have to - le nature take it course. and when u take antibiotics u body tends to react differently

you can't take anti-biotics while your on the pill...something in the anti-biotic make the pill not work... if your concerned about being pregneat than go to a clinic to get a test done, and the condoms could break

your symptoms could possibly just be a side effect of the meds wearing off in your body
