Most likely the betta would die of stress within a few days.

That would depend on the temperaments of your fish. Some bettas are aggressive, some aren't. (Mine isn't for the most part) Same with your goldies. My betta is in the same tank as my 2 fantails with no problems, except at feeding time.... which only problems are from one of the goldies chasing everyone in the tank... he's a little piggie lol.
Overall not a good idea to keep them in a tank together though (my setup is temporary). Bettas are tropical and like warmer temperatures than goldfish do. So do your betta a favor and get him his own tank with a heater and filter.

I have a Betta with 2 Golfish. Thet get along fine. As long as there is only one male Betta in a tank they wont fight. My local pet store have 1 betta in several tanks with several different species of fish without problems.
1 male Betta=peaceful
2 male Bettas=war

Goldfish are like carp and has a nasty oily secretion coming from them, which is why their tanks are dirty pretty quick.
For the life of your Betta, I would keep him in a separate tank away from the goldfish.
My Betta gets along fine with guppies, neon tetras, an albino catfish, and a dwarf African frog.

for one: bettas will attack other fish if they get territorial (this happened with my tetras)
second: goldfish are messy eaters and they produce so much waste.
third: gold fish are eaters of everything, the betta might not even get enough to eat, thus stressing and straving him out.
the waste will accumulate from the goldfish and the water quaility will be terrible and your betta will most likely die. goldfish are advised to be kept with other goldfish, due to different water temperatures, food, and other necessities. well good luck!

Your tank isn't cycled and is a procedures too small for the fish. cycling a tank isn't the comparable as letting it run for a week. you may desire to be including an ammonia source (organic ammonia, fish food etc) and letting the best micro organism colony strengthen. This takes approximately 6 weeks, no longer one. in case you do no longer cycle your tank the ammonia is merely no longer switched over into nitrite then nitrate and will strengthen and kill your fish. the perfect tank length for 3 effortless goldfish is a minimum of a hundred twenty five gallons with double filtration. they are very messy fish and strengthen as much as twelve inches long. in case you keep them in something smaller they'll stunt meaning their outsides will quit turning out to be yet their insides won't, optimum to a sluggish, painful death. Please return the fish or get an outstanding greater effective tank for them or they gained't stay a happy, healthy existence.

It would die, goldish like cold water and bettas need warm water. Also the goldfish would prolly starve the betta to death being larger and more aggressive.

Nothing. Bettas only fight with other male bettas.
I had a betta in a tank with other fish. It's fine as long as the other fish arent aggressive.

First of all, you can't keep betta fish who are warm water fish with goldfish which need colder temperatures to live in. Second, they won't fight. But still you can't keep them together.

beta....or siamese fighting fish, are agressive and territorial..so it depends on a few factors.
1. size fot eh tank. if the beta has enough room he won't attack
2. size of teh goldfish. betas are agressive.....they are not stupid. if the goldifsh are fairly large they won't attack
3. species of goldfish. yes goldfish ahve many subspecies based upon breeding. Betas are atually a form of tetra. so if a goldfish was born with a tetra parent, then the beta will most likely attack it, as it would attack any tetra.
