If you do use it, be aware that it can cause the baby to pass meconium in utero which is very bad.
Evening Primrose Oil generally is start around week 36, taken orally a few times a day and/or placed right on the cervix. This will help soften the cervix, not necessarily put you in labor.
Do you have a specific reason for self induction?
Good Luck!

Castor oil has been used for centuries to make people expel poisons out of their bodies. In other words it will make you vomit very soon after you take a very small quantity. It is very potent and will work every time. It tastes horrible and is not reversible.

Oh No! Please do not do it. It will make you so sick and you will vomit and have the worst bathroom break ever. Also, it could cause the baby to pass meconium in the uterus which is not good. Please don't take anything, but let your body take the natural course. I know it may seem like an eternity, but trust me, the baby will come out. Good Luck

Please dont do it. My sister decided to try this with her first one. She started getting really bad cramps and lots of diarea, and much to her discomfort no baby... Needless to say she wasnt the only one to do this. My cousin did it as well and got the same results. You would think she would have known better, but hey everyone swore it would happen if you was ready to deliver. and it never did...

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It'll make you crampy and poopy like you'll never forget!!! Instead go to Target/Walmart or drugstore and get Evening primose capsules...take a couple by mouth and if you want bust a capsule and rub on your cervix. It's highly effective and not harsh to your bowels.
