dorothy - sofia had all the zingers, but dorothy was just a good old fashioned ****** and i loved her for that!

I like Rose. She's the good old stereotypical "dingy, innocent girl for comic relief", but Betty White plays the part so well that you don't even think of the cliche. The fact that she ends up saying the most risque lines out of anyone (even Blanche) is just hilarious. There's a strange depth and wisdom to her air-headed sweetness.

Ma! The rest of them are there to make her look better. Come on, really. Estelle Getty. It doesn't get any better than that. Can't you just see her with a thumbs up and a sign that says, "Thank you for being a friend."?

Dorothy (Beatrice Arthur) - Her dry wit was always a real "killer" and she could always "cut to the quick" and "tell it like it is" ! I thought she was hilarious.
(They were all good though - it was a great cast - that's what made it such a successful show!)

Dorothy, because she was always so quick and witty with her responses, but I am biased because I love Bea arthur's acidic wit in general.

That's really hard, but I'm going to say Rose. I loved how she could act like a complete idiot one minute and then say something really unexpected and totally unlike her.

I was always a fan of Sofia... she was always around, always making me laugh...and always made a pretty decent point...once she got past the "picture it..." stories lol. Plus, her sarcasm and quick wit just killed me with laughter!
